[The Holy Bible.] Engraved New Testament title by Michael Burghers depicting St. John on Patmos. Roman type, 53 lines, double columns. Folio, 408x274 mm, later 18th-century American(?) reversed sheep panelled in blind with red morocco lettering piece, worn overall, bottom of spine damaged; few minor burn holes, scattered clean tears, lower outer corner torn off 6A3 with text loss, upper outer corner of 6B4 torn and restored with text supplied in manuscript, last few leaves creased and frayed with crude marginal restoration causing varying text loss. King James version. In common with other folio Bibles printed at Oxford in the late 17th century this edition has marginal dates from the Creation onward, and the engraved New Testament title by Burghers. This copy contains the complete Bible text but lacks the general title and possibly other preliminaries and end matter.
